Hey Trolls,
Well, it's been quite some time since I last updated you. But that's just because we were waiting for the final samples to come in. We've had our manufacturer send us pictures here and there, but now we've got it all in our hands. Let get on with showing you this masterpiece.
This Game is Stunning

The design of the Game Trayz is astounding!
We can't get over the beauty
This crown is significant!
The box fits all components (with room to spare for those of you who like to sleeve your cards). You can also see Cursed Mountain components fit in the large centre pocket of the tray. Sharp eyes will notice that the Fire statues are the wrong colour; they will be the same orange as the pedestals in the final.
*There is room in this box for all expansions!!
Finally, we have a video that our manufacturing partner, Gameland, sent to us. It shows us how to put the Great Halls into the box insert.
Almost everything you see above is absolutely perfect. The very few adjustments that we have to make are adding a few mm here and there to the insert. But overall we are incredibly happy with the quality that Gameland has given us for In the Hall of the Mountain King.
The Best News of All
As of this week we are in full production (they began the minis, wood components, and coins a while ago to get a head start on production). We are still on schedule to get the games to you in December. We always hope for an early delivery. But this cannot be guaranteed due to the different speeds at which games are shipped to around the world.
In the Hall of the Mountain King at Gen Con
Thank you so much for stopping by to say hi and to take a look at this beautiful game (we only had the box and a few of the bits at that time). And for those of you who actually scheduled a demo at one of our sessions, thank you for the incredible feedback. We are so excited to bring this game to the world. You have only fuelled that excitement.
In the Hall of the Mountain King at PAX Unplugged
At the end of November we head to fantastic Philadelphia to play games with you. Within the next few weeks we will know what our booth number is and how we will set up. One thing is for sure, we will get you to sit down and play In the Hall of the Mountain King. We will have several tables set up at our booth, so be sure to come by and play a few rounds with us.

Origins Game Fair
We had such an amazing time meeting some of you! We certainly didn't have enough of these demos going, but managed to squeeze a few more in the cracks. Please keep in mind that these demos used prototype materials. The final materials are not in our hands yet.

Origins Hotness
Thanks to you amazing backers, we spent this last week and a half on the top Origins Hotness list. But today we slipped into second place. It just so happens that the game in the first spot is also a game that Josh Cappel (our Art Director) worked on, and is the design and publication of several of our friends (and In the Hall of the Mountain King backers). So, we don't feel that bad about it. BUT, we'd feel much better if we were back in first. All you need to do to make that happen is follow this link and thumbIn the Hall of the Mountain King on BGG.

Hey Trolls,
Our manufacturer continues to work tirelessly to produce samples for In the Hall of the Mountain King. The best part of working with this company is how transparent they have been. We received photos of the metal coins and the wooden bits, so we thought that we'd share them with you.

These coins have blown us away! We are incredibly excited about how they turned out.
We thought we'd share the wooden bits as well, since so many of you have added them on to your game. Stunning colours and shapes!!

One thing we noticed was that the paint job on these was not smooth, and a few of the cuts on the bits weren't exactly what we wanted them to be. So we gave this feedback to the manufacturer, and they will be sure to make them the way we want them.

A Weekend Update

Hey Trolls,
It's been some time since we updated you, and we figured now is a good time to do it.
Production Update
We have submitted all but the rules to our manufacturer. This means that within the next few weeks we should see a sample here in Canada. However, our manufacturer did send us some photos of the plastic bits. Check these out ...

We're super excited about the way these look. And if they are any indication of the quality we are going to see from Gameland, we're in for a treat! Once we approve the components, production will be in full swing. We'll be in touch in the coming weeks with more photos for you to see.
In the Hall of the Mountain King at Origins
As you know, ItHotMK will be at Origins. The games we have running were sold out VERY quickly. If you were not one of the lucky ones, we have good news for you! We'll have the game with us at the (Kids Table BG) booth. We'll also have two full time tables to run games. So, come visit us; it is very possible we can have someone teach it to you. You might even get a play in.
On that note, if you are excited to see In the Hall of the Mountain King at Origins, don't hesitate to give it a thumb on the BGG Origins Preview. We're excited to have the game in the 11th spot on the Origins Hotness, but I know we can do better than that. You can thumb it even if you aren't going! We appreciate all the support we can get!
